Pathway to Permanent Residency
The Penn Postdoctoral Association's Foreign National Committee is excited to invite you to our collaborative workshop with ISSS, “Postdoc Pathways to Permanent Residency” on October 23rd (Wednesday) at 4-6PM in Meyerson Hall B1.
At this event, immigration lawyers will present on options for international postdocs to apply for permanent residency in the US at 4-5:30 pm, followed by a moderated Q&A at 5:30-6 pm. Please RSVP here by 10/21.
In the RSVP form there is also an opportunity to submit general questions you may have about apply for permanent residency. FNC will review these questions and pass along FAQs to the lawyers to be addressed during the presentation or Q&A. If you would like to submit questions, please RSVP by 10/7 to have your questions be reviewed.
Demystifying the Chalk Talk and Other Faculty Application Tips
Are you on the academic job market this year or planning to be in a coming year? Curious to learn more about what the process is like, what a "chalk talk" is (and whether it's standard in your field), or just to learn helpful application tips? Join our hybrid panel discussion with Penn faculty on Tuesday, October 22nd from 1-2 pm.
The event will be in-person (Biomedical Research Building 1412, 421 Curie Boulevard on the School of Medicine Campus) or virtual via Zoom (link will be provided in advance). Please RSVP for the event here.

Saturday Science Demos!
Saturday Science Demos are back!
Join the Community Outreach Committee on Saturday May 25th in Clark Park to present demonstration modules of complex scientific topics to interested members of the local community.
Our demonstrations coincide with Clark Park’s weekly Farmer’s Market. Join us to build your skills in communicating science to the public and enjoy a great day together at the market! We have experienced trainers available to support and guide you through your teaching - beginners welcome!

Foreign National Committee Presents Board Game Night!
Come play board games and meet new friends! Choose from the Philly Game Shop’s diverse collection of board games, or bring your own!

The PPA FNC in collaboration with Financial Wellness @ Penn is pleased to invite you to our first financial wellness workshop: Introduction to Personal Finance.
